JON, CONSULTANT, UK, MA, FCIPD has close to 30 years experience in Human Resource Management within papermaking, scientific products, office products, general manufacturing and local government. His last role in industry was as HR Vice President for the UK based subsidiary of a Fortune 500 US multinational, with board level responsibility for the HR agenda across Europe. Within local government he led a 190 strong function in one of the most progressive county councils in England implementing a new service delivery model and Oracle HR. SHYAMA, UK, SENIOR ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT, COMMUNICATIONS supports the communications side of our consulting offering. She is an established novelist and continues to write for national newspapers and magazines on a regular basis. She worked on both sides of the TV cameras until the mid 1990s. As a presenter she fronted series including Eastern Eye, The Six O'Clock Show, Talk of the Eighties and Behind the Headlines. She also reported for Carlton Tonight and she reviews newspapers on BBC News 24. A seasoned public speaker, she regularly appears as a cultural commentator on radio. In recent months she has been interviewed on the Jeremy Vine Show, Woman's Hour, and Saturday Live. Shyama's newspaper background includes a year with The Daily Star and five years as a Home News reporter on The Guardian. She has written three novels, published by Sceptre, as well as short stories and essays for various anthologies. Communication is her business. TOM, CONSULTANT, UK, FCIPD is an HR professional with 20 years professional experience managing significant HR projects in blue chip companies in Europe, the USA and Asia; in the Energy, Utility, IT Services, and Real Estate sectors. He has developed green field operations, established/acquired/relocated/ integrated and closed businesses.
